Rules:
- This is a low level run of zombero's hardtype mod: romhacking.net/hacks/3299
- The aim is to keep XP gain as low as possible without affecting my sanity.
- Hard mode, obviously
- No stat boosting items
- All other game mechanics are fair game!
Hardtype changes:
- HP: 700 → 4400
This is where that Hades Blast morph pays off. Either you get the crits you need here or not. Without a clean sweep this is the worst boss in the entire mod. We'd be forced to sit around praying for Last Resort dodges for 20 minutes, and would take thousands more XP to add insult to injury. The boom threshold is around 60% (somewhere between 2680 and 2690) and they start calling reinforcements on round 3 - practically speaking you need to be able to deal 3k+ damage in a single round. This is the one battle I tested in advance several weeks ago using debug mode, because if it wasn't possible that was pretty much the run over. This was my first actual attempt in the run though and it was smooth as hell.
Gehenna gets us closer to Void Fire while also providing a huge agility bonus to ensure Demi doesn't whiff his attacks.
