Rules:
- This is a low level run of zombero's hardtype mod: romhacking.net/hacks/3299
- The aim is to keep XP gain as low as possible without affecting my sanity.
- Hard mode, obviously
- No stat boosting items
- All other game mechanics are fair game!
Hardtype changes:
- HP: 20000 → 30000
- Makakaja → Tarukaja
- He can now use Hell Thrust without shocking a target. I don't know if this is a new move that's replaced something - maybe Maziodyne? Help me out here commenters.
I took on the Bandou Shrine before Noah in the hope that Demi-Fiend could learn Fire Repel in time for Luci, but alas it was not so. Anyway, all the Deva are easy but Zouchou is the easiest since we have the best damage options and for some reason he still hurts himself with his own repelled element. At least we can't completely wall him with only elec immunity now, although slapping Void Phys on the birds still brings us close. We just have to be wary of thrust crits on Demi. He doesn't use it very often though - I did this battle a lot of times and found that having Demi repel elec is still better than resisting phys.
We needed an Ice Repel here morph here and it took a looong time, probably a couple of hours of resets. After the amazing luck in the Mithra battle that seems fair enough, and it's the last morph I need to specifically gun for in this run, so I can finally retire the Diarahan morph squad. White Rider comes in at the end for a little XP boost.
