"Toothy cleavage" - Jack Frost, 2020
Lowdown on the restrictions of this challenge:
- EXP gain is only permitted in boss fights and forced encounters, and must be minimised by only having 1 character active at the end of each battle.
- Autolevelling must also be minimised as much as possible. Argilla and Roland take all XP before they leave the party to reduce the impact of this later on, and Argilla's level must not exceed 12 so it doesn't affect Sera's starting level.
- This is a cycle 2 playthrough on hard difficulty with no data transfer bonuses.
- I will be fighting all bosses rather than doing a true minimum EXP run, cuz that's more fun. And let's face it, you're only here for Satan.
- The use of Data items to permanently raise stats is forbidden for as long as possible - at least until Shiva.
After the first battle I head back to town and mess around in the shop to get a bunch of useful items much earlier than you usually would. I'll explain in more detail in the next video where it's most relevant - all it affects here is that I equip the Rich Ring on Argilla from the second fight onwards, and I have some lvl 2 elemental items to speed things along.
Ghoul x2 - with Mabufu and Ice Blast we can leave 1 standing (the one on the right has more HP). I let Serph & Gale die a lot in these so Argilla can master another mantra before the boss. This isn't essential, just a little more efficient.
Mizuchi & Pabilsag - Impact Bomb and Tera makes short work of them.
Kaiwan & Shadow x2 - Micro Nova + Fire Bomb is a nice way of doing this since they don't attack first. Only 1 character needs to die here if Argilla was the sole survivor of the first 2.
