I know logitechSDAZ tried this once, but I don't know if he (or anyone else) eventually did it.

This saves about 10 seconds, but it's very hard to do. The first spin should be as early as possible, but late enough for the spider to notice you. I also hold the A button and up on the analog stick through the whole jump.
