Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's second wave of DLC kicked off by throwing everyone a curveball. Instead of a showstopper third party reveal like the first Fighter Pass, Vol. 2 is starting things off by sending an invite to a fighter from ARMS! The quirky fighting game fell victim to inopportune timing when Ultimate's base roster was chosen, but it seems that Sakurai, Nintendo, and everyone else involved decided to double back!
And yet, even though the new character is set to spring into action some time in June--unless delays happen for obvious reasons--we know absolutely nothing about them! Which of ARMS' cast of 15 fighters will get the invite? What form will their moveset take? How can Smash take the premise of boxing with extendable arms and create the kind of unique, standout newcomer Sakurai has put so much emphasis on wanting?
