Thanks to a grant from Bendigo Bank, we're trialing a Celium trap alert system to increase the efficacy of our conservation work.

A portion of the cage traps we’ve deployed on Kangaroo Island have been equipped with nodes that detect when a trap is triggered, instantly sending alerts to our team. This enables us to respond swiftly and precisely, minimising stress for both our staff and detected species.

In just two weeks, this system has already helped us capture six feral cats. We are eager to extend this trial to include Felixers and other traps, further enhancing our conservation toolkit.
