Geysers are hot springs that episodically erupt columns of water. They occur in few places on Earth. The highest concentration of geysers anywhere is at the Yellowstone Hotspot Volcano in northwestern Wyoming, USA.
Seen here is eruptive activity from a small unnamed hydrothermal feature in the Geyser Hill Group of Yellowstone’s Upper Geyser Basin. The vent is on the southern side of a Slot Geyser-Pump Geyser runoff channel, 6 to 6.5 meters northeast of an unnamed geyser referred to as “UNNG-GHG-18”. The vent’s coordinates appear to be in the vicinity of 44° 27' 48.81" North latitude and 110° 49' 49.16" West longitude. On 2 August 2025, it acted as a tiny perpetual spouter, with somewhat varying energy.
