This is pretty difficult if you aren't doing this from behind.
Longshot over to him, and go towards his right so he takes longer to see you. Crouch stab him 4 times (assuming Jumpslash damage), then Slash and Jumpslash. This CAN rely on RNG depending on how fast you are, because if you get the Sideways swing it's almost guarenteed he'll hit you. The damage carries over and you can hit him with only two Crouch Stabs at the end, and it saves time because he has longer invincibility in 2nd phase.
