So I picked up the PC version of Slave Zero the other day. I had heard it has problems running, but when I saw the Night Dive logo, I realized they had fixed it's issues, and now the game runs great in my Windows 10 partition. It doesn't, however, run on my Linux Mint partition. I also bought the original Far Cry the same day, and it won't seem to run on my windows partition, but runs just fine on my Linux Mint Partition. That's why I chose to dual boot Linux and Windows instead of just going all in on linux.
Anyway, I've owned the Dreamcast version of Slave Zero for over two decades, and I've always really liked this game, even if the DC port has some massive framerate issues. The PC version runs great, on modern hardware, looks great, and has background music which the DC port does not. This is a fun, straightforward mech action game with excellent atmosphere. It's cheap to pick up if you're interested in playing it, and it runs perfectly fine on windows. It won't boot on Linux though.
