Coop in Resistance is pretty fun, and it runs well. I'm willing to bet there are people out there who have great memories of playing Resistance coop with friends and family back in the day.
I recently played through Resistance and it was quite refreshing to play through a 7th gen shooter without all the 7th gen shooter cliches. As a PS3 launch game, it predates the CoD4 cliches that would become so popular in that generation. It definitely feels fresh to play, and different going off of a mixture of popular FPS games from the previous gen, a little early CoD, a little Halo, and a little of everything. This game definitely has it's own feel, and it just plays so smoothly.
I know it was a launch game, so everyone said it looked like a prettier PS2 game, and maybe so, but the action is smooth, and the gunplay is good. It has a nice feel to it still to this day. Regardless of how you feel about the early PS3 era, this is still a great game to play. The second one I wasn't so big on, but the original is still really good, and worth playing still.
