Rise of the Triad was one of the earliest "Boomer shooter" reboots and while it does capture the essence of the original Rise of the Triad: Dark War, released in 1994, it's just OK as a game overall. It has quite a bit of jank, and quite a few glitches (for example, sometimes the guns just stop working and you can't shoot anything), but overall, it's not a terrible game. If you find it for cheap on a steam sale, you can find some amusement out of it.
