Slí Gaeltacht Mhuscraí is a fantastic hike but doing it right after the Beara Way (section 1) made the hiking very tough and challenging.

Blisters, cuts, bruises, grit and determination were all part of this gruelling challenge but thankfully I didn't find myself alone as help came from many places. Solely placed in Cork this trail takes you over mountains, fields and country laneways with stops in Ballingeary and Ballyvourney before arriving in Millstreet. Probably the jewel of the hike is Gougane Barra a truly wonderful place of tranquillity and rejuvenation.
