Carrauntoohil, a majestic mountain set at the heart of the Macgillicuddy Reeks. As Irelands highest mountain and the fact it's in the beautiful County Kerry, means it boasts some of the most spectacular views throughout the island of Ireland. With Jagged cliffs, mythical cliffs and an ancient presence, this is a really is a place that holds you captivated as you explore its wonders.

However, make no mistake this mountain is not to be taken lightly as it can be treacherous in bad conditions. The hiking is fantastic, the scenery is stunning and the challenge is tough, this mountain has so much to offer anyone looking for an adventure in the wild southwest of Ireland.

So for this hike, we decided to mix it up a bit and do a loop going up the less popular O'shea's gully and down the main route the devil's ladder. A full hiking guide is in the video for you to follow.
