Drainstorm was an umbrella bird born in a rainforest where it never stops raining. One day, a cloud landed next to him. It had a mind of it's own! Soon afterwards, it became friends with Drainstorm. He kept him like a dog and took really got care of him. He then got a bit bored of living in an infinite raining forest so he went on a vacation to a slightly dryer place. That's when he had a glimpse of Skylanders University. One year later, he packed his bags and set of to study at college. Along the way, he found an old drainpipe. Drainstorm decided it could be useful someday. When he saw Bowlder being teased at, he defended him with his new hose weapon and with the help of his cloudly companion and befriended him.
