On this day, 25 years, one of the most popular Cartoon Network shows of the 2000s premiered, the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Originally part of Grim and Evil which is paired with another show called "Evil Con Carne". It is a surprisingly popular show despite having a lot of things that when other shows try and do it, they often fail, like grossout humor, stupid characters doing stupid things just for the sake of being stupid and mean spirited characters. But just like with Ed, Edd n Eddy, they managed to make all those elements work.
For me, this was my second most favorite Cartoon Network show of all time (my first being Ed, Edd n Eddy and the third being Camp Lazlo), and it would explain my child-like, goofy and dark, macabre sense of humor. It was also a show that introduced me to one of my favorite voice actors, who is also known as a king of parody songs himself, Weird Al Yankovic, which he performs the Squidhat, and also was the announcer for the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy game.
Starting at 12:30am Malaysian time (12:30pm EST and 9:30am PST), ask me draw any of the enlisted Billy and Mandy characters (plus anyone else you like to add in) in any scenario, like them playing Hokey monsters (which is a parody of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh), picking noses or farting. They can also interact with any crossover character like from other Cartoon Network shows such as Ed, Edd n Eddy, Camp Lazlo, Dexter's Lab, etc. or other network shows such as Disney (Star vs the Forces of Evil, the Owl House, Dragon Striker, etc.) or Nickelodeon (Spongebob Squarepants, the Loud House, Fairly OddParents, etc.). They can even dress up as the crossover character or they themselves are the costumes for other characters. I recommend that these requests are simple and easy to draw so I can get to them as quickly as I can so I move on to the other.
