Decided to do a little mini series of animations from March 13th which is also Friday the 13th to March 17th which is also St. Patrick's Day. It's a rare moment in history where the unluckiest day in close to what is often considered Ireland's luckiest day. The mini series is called "Guests of Luck" AKA "The Luck of the Islands".
In each short, I'm doing something thats technically Skylanders-related but at the same time, it's not quite. It focuses on any guest character who appeared in the Skylanders franchise, either in the games like SuperChargers and Imaginators, or the Academy TV series. No, I'm not counting the Spyro characters like Spyro, Cynder, Sparx and Malefor, since you could say Skylanders is technically a sub-Spyro franchise. I'm talking the guests from the Super Mario Bros. and Crash Bandicoot franchise.
The guests are on an island country or territory and they witness some forms of either bad luck or good like. I've already given Crash Bandicoot, Dr. Neo Cortex, Donkey Kong and Bowser their own countries to be in (see in this playlist: youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_yiI6XK_qidAzuTsOp6daSQv2CaRb1ZJ ). So instead, we will focus on the NPC guests who were playable in other games like the Crash Bandicoot games, Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros. For example: Diddy Kong from the Super Mario Bros. franchise, as well as Donkey Kong Country (who appears in Skylanders SuperChargers as part of Donkey Kong's moves, as well as a SuperCharged mod for the Barrel Blaster), is in Kiribati, known to be one of the smallest island countries and one of the least visited places on the planet, due to how small it is and how its prone to flooding by climate change. That's why Diddy is up on a tree eating bananas upon high sea level.
Since today is Friday the 13th, guess what type of bad luck he's having? Here's a hint: In some countries like Japan and Malaysia, why is this particular number often left out or replaced with something like 3A?
