Finally, a legit YM2413 version of Tasty Cinnamon Eggnog. In spite of having a year plauged with IRL problems, my 2017 self still wanted to get in the Christmas spirit by creating this song. At the time, there were no trackers that supported the YM2413, so I had to fake it using a VST by Keijiro Takahashi that emulates the YM2413 in OpenMPT (though I did keep it within the limitations of the YM2413). Now, here we are, seven years later! We now have Furnace, DefleMask, 0CC-LLTracker (a FamiTracker fork by Shiru), and a version of TriloTracker (native MSX tracker) that support the YM2413 chip. For this one, after using Furnace's ability to import tracker modules based on the MOD format (I imported the original MPTM in to Furnace), I decided to change a few aspects of the composition, and even altered the percussion to give it more of a Latino flair. I did try to do a swing tempo, but I was unable to do so, so I just gave it a slightly faster tempo.
By the way, I don't drink eggnog, as I'm quite wary about consuming something that has raw eggs. There is an egg-free version of eggnog somewhere out there that that I'd probably like to try (though its ingredients does sound like an alcohol-free version of Coquito, which is a traditional Puerto Rican drink often served around Christmas time).
