"You are in a cellar, and you hear the sound of water rising as you try to find the keys for the door. Can you make it out in time?" is perhaps the synopsis I would go with if I were to make an Escape Room game, even though Escape Rooms are not my kind of thing as I'd be more stressed out than enjoying them. This song was originally created in October 2017 using DefleMask, and I had thought of something where the water level would rise and you'd have to escape it somehow.
Like my 2025 edit of Decommissioned Steel Factory, I gave this one a makeover as well. In fact, of all my original chiptunes from before 2019, I agonized over this one the most, having at least 3 revisit attempts before this one (all of which were from when I used to have much contempt towards my old originals). The bass line was altered, noise generator instruments use macros, parts of the "blob" instrument was changed and reduced, tempo increased, tuning lowered, changed/added patches here and there, unused SegaPCM chip removed from the module. Overall, this has undergone a massive change from how it sounded originally.
