If you have been sewing on a mechanical machine and you are considering upgrading to an electronic machine I would recommend taking a look at the Singer 9960. Yes, it has been out for over 10 years now, but it is a well built machine with a great reputation. It has all the stitches you need, along with a thread cutter. Button holes are nice as well.
