In this video, I demonstrate the proper method for boiling and saucing pasta, using the fresh tomato sauce we made in our previous video, found here: youtu.be/FZm6k4IZD7U

Some tips to keep in mind when cooking pasta:

1) Add enough salt to your pasta water to make it taste almost as salty as sea water. Dried Spaghetti pasta absorbs a lot of water when cooked, making it important to season your pasta water.

2) Stir pasta occasionally to keep it from sticking together.

3) Contrary to popular belief, it is important not use too much water when cooking spaghetti or pasta in general, especially when saucing it as demonstrated in this video. The starchy water is great for slightly thickening your pasta sauce, and will allow the sauce to adhere to the spaghetti itself.

4) Don't use a colander to strain your spaghetti and never rinse your pasta after cooking. Rinsing spaghetti will keep sauce from sticking or "clinging" to the pasta.
