And here are the directions to make the Healing Calendula Salve in the video:
If starting your Calendula Oil from scratch you'll need a jar. Add about a cup of dried calendula flowers/petals to it and cover it with olive oil by about 1 inch. Put a lid on it and let it sit in a sunny window for 3-4 weeks.
Afterward, strain your oil into a clean jar.
To make the Salve you'll need:
1 cup of Calendula Oil
1/4 cup of Beeswax or Soy Wax
1 Tablespoon of Shea Butter (optional)
20-30 drops of essential oil (optional)
1. Take 1 cup of your Calendula Oil and put it in a clean jar or bowl that you can set on top of a pot of water on the stove.
2. Add a couple of inches of water into a pot and put your jar in the pot or bowl on top of the pot. Bring to a low simmer.
3. Add in half the wax and if you're using the shea butter you can add this in now too.
4. Stir clockwise while imagining, feeling, intending your outcome of healed skin. You can repeat out loud or in your head " Release - Peace" as you stir.
5. When it's all blended together, put a dollop on a plate and put it on the freezer for 2 minutes. Then pull it out and check that the consistency is to your liking. If you want a harder/firmer Salve add the rest of the wax in and continue stirring until dissolved.
6. Take it off the heat and add in your essential oil if using it.
7. Pour into your containers and let set for a couple of hours.
