Quilting and Piecing don't need to be complicated or intimidating!

When a lot of us begin sewing, quilting looks to be this complicated and overwhelming part of the sewing world! Like it's just for our grandma's who were amazing skilled artisans! But that is not true at all! Anyone with a sewing machine (or needle and thread!) and some patience can learn to piece and quilt.
This quilt block is called "Breaking Out" and the design was created by Jennie Finch Schauer. I learned how to make the 4 at a time flying geese blocks from Modernly Morgan at modernlymorgan.com/four-at-a-time-flying-geese-tutorial

To make this pillow you will need...
3 pieces of cotton fabric that are 6 1/4'' x 6 1/4''
12 pieces of cotton fabric that are 3 3/8'' x 3 3/8''
4 pieces of cotton fabric that are 3'' x 8''
1 piece of cotton batting that is 16'' x 16''
2 pieces of cotton (for envelope backing that are 13'' x 15''
a 15'' x 15'' pillow form.
