Here's an UPDATE on my simple dust collector! This is one of the easiest dust collectors to make and one that keeps the sawdust out of your shop vacuum cleaner. Super cheap to make and saves you money. Parts are easy to find. Prevents your filter from clogging prematurely in your shop vac. Separates the dust and debris with simple cyclone action. No fancy baffles. Plain, simple and practical. I made another version for WATER using just one pail ! .....youtu.be/qr4shF-oOzg
NOTE: Some have said static could be an issue. When I tested this, it was on concrete and static was not an issue for me. If you are building yours on a wood stand, you may want to add a ground wire.
NOTE......CANADA uses black ABS pipe and the USA uses white PVC pipe . Either will work.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE BUCKETS: I've been made aware that there are a few versions of this bucket across the US and Canada and some won't connect/mesh together well. Many of my great commenters have made me aware that Lowes buckets work just as well.
I thank this commenter @matthewolson5391 who supplied this info: "The HD buckets with “LEAKTITE” and the numbers “01453” printed on the bottom are the style buckets that will not go together. But using one of those and a green one from Menards that has “5140-1” does match up with a HD “01453”.
