There's a difference between training hard and training stupid 🎯
Yes, you need to push yourself. But if you're experiencing these signs, you've crossed the line into counterproductive territory:
🚨 You're pushing TOO hard if:
- You're failing lifts frequently (not just occasionally)
- Your technique completely breaks down on your last rep
- You feel extreme fatigue after training—can't function the rest of the day
- All you want to do is bed rot, eat snacks, and watch TV after the gym
The reality: Frequent failure and extreme fatigue aren't badges of honor—they're signs you need to adjust.
What to do:
- Drop the weight, reduce your reps, or end your sets 1-2 reps before complete failure. Build up gradually to where you can lift that weight with solid technique.
Training hard means challenging yourself within your capacity. Training smart means knowing when to pull back so you can actually recover and grow stronger.
How do you know when you've pushed too far? 👇
