It's not always possible to find all the specimens during a dig and a lot of small material will be missed even by the most experienced diggers. To try to ensure that as much is recovered as possible all the spoil will be passed over these sieves. Even then, fossil material can still be messed!
Cerney Wick:
Palaeocast was granted special access to 2024's excavations at Cerney Wick, allowing us to record media from within the field. On our website, you'll find hours of multimedia captured at different stages throughout the field season. We begin with a podcast that introduces the locality and details the plans for the upcoming dig, this is followed by several days of recording at the site itself and finally a record of the legacy of the year’s fieldwork.
