To coincide with the publication of the Castle Bank lagerstätte (site of special preservation of fossils) in Nature Ecology and Evolution, we arranged a site visit with lead authors Dr Joe Botting and Dr Lucy Muir.

In this rain-soaked and wind-battered quarry in mid Wales, we take a look at the geology, discuss some of the organisms found there and do a spot of fossil hunting.
