Our 11-year-old daughter Clare did a bunch of personal reading about the issue of “kids going back to school during a pandemic”. She likes to listen to podcasts, and so we thought it would be an interesting experiment to record our conversation and post it on our channel.... as a kind of CCP podcast.
We don’t pretend to be omniscient about this subject matter, we openly admit our ignorance, and we are willing to change our minds wherever sound evidence can be presented.

Apologies to all our viewers who already watched this video or left a comment. We had to take down and re-edit our original video due to a copyright takedown for some of the wrestling footage we employed for an analogy about Blaze Entertainment’s performance over the last few months. Here is the new video, which is very similar.

On December 15th 2022….weeks late….the Evercade EXP was finally launched. However, despite the extra time, it’s apparent that many of the new consoles suffer from a wide range of disappointing defects. The batteries offer far less juice than advertised; it takes hours to charge; cartridges are getting stuck in the unit; overheating issues have been widely reported, and some cases are so bad that its warping the plastic.
Making matters worse, and bizarre even, an entire truck (or lory) containing thousands of EXP Limited Editions intended for the US and UK market was stolen on December 7th, meaning that many customers were unable to receive their special orders in time for Christmas. Indeed, despite ordering their special editions on June 1st 2022, these customers won’t receive anything until March 2023….at the earliest.
Yet, despite all this madness, Blaze hasn’t issued much of a response to address the defects and there are reports that getting a refund from funstock is a lot harder than one might expect. This is a terrible situation for Blaze and a moment that could either make or break their future as an exciting alternative to the mainstream console gaming market. So much of what they have done has been so good, so it’s been disappointing to see them hit the canvas this hard. Perhaps its time for a recall, and a reboot of this promising new console.
