Our take on a classic, step by step 🥃😮💨
Pendleton Whisky pairs perfectly with outdoor cooking on your Pit Boss Grill. So perfect, we’re giving away an exclusive, custom Pit Boss x Pendleton Whisky grill. Be sure to find Pendleton at your local retailer for more info🔥
Ingredients:
2 oz Pendleton Original Whisky
½ oz Smoked Simple Syrup
2-3 dashes Aromatic Bitters
2-3 dashes Orange Bitters
ice
Place your glasses in the freezer to chill.
1. Fill a smoke tube with Hardwood Cherry BBQ Pellets and light. Allow to burn until a small flame is established and the tube begins smoking.
2. Once glasses are chilled, remove from the freezer and hold upside down over the smoldering smoke tube until filled with smoke. Note: you can place the smoke tube in your grill, on a heat-resistant surface with the unlit side down, or handle carefully with high-heat gloves.
3. Combine: In a mixing glass, add your sugar/syrup, bitters, and whiskey.
4. Stir with ice: Add a handful of ice and stir continuously for 20 to 30 seconds. This chills the drink while introducing the perfect amount of dilution.
5. Pour: Strain the liquid into a rocks glass (lowball glass) over one large, clear ice cube. Using a large cube prevents the drink from watering down too quickly.
6. Garnish: Take your orange peel, hold it colored-side down over the glass, and pinch (express) it to release the citrus oils. Rub the peel around the rim of the glass and drop it into the drink. Add a cocktail cherry to finish.
