Short edit review of the Shokz Open Swim headphones that use bone conducting technology to play mp3 music, audio books or podcasts while you swim. These are the best option for swimming in terms of ease of use, simplicity and consistent sound quality.
They are available here: amzn.to/466utC9
I find swimming dull but need to swim for triathlon. Other options I have tried:
- The WaterFi waterproofed iPod Shuffle had excellent sound but I had to mess around with headphone cables and ear buds that would fill with water or just fall out of my ears, so I would have to stop the swim to reposition them. It wasn't worth the admin so I stopped using it.
- I tried the Finis Duo headset which is a bone conducting system like the ShockZ Open Swim but they are huge and need to be attached to your goggles, I did not like them but if you want to check them out they are here: amzn.to/3rdkoEm
- Sony NWWS413BM 4GB Sports Wearable MP3 Player - this works well as there are no cables but you still need to position the ear buds securely in your ears and they have a tendency to fall out or just fill with water. It is available here: amzn.to/3R6mLnc
