On January 17, 2024, at approximately 3:18 a.m., Officers were dispatched to The Green Room, 109 14th St., for reports of a burglar alarm going off and the front door shattered. While checking on the business's other location at 64 Newark St., officers observed a man walking nearby who matched the description of a suspect in a January 11, 2024, incident at the same business. The officers stopped the man, who was carrying a large trash bag filled with items. Officers discovered several mason jars of CBD buds and pre-rolls in his bag, which matched the description of items missing from the business. The man was placed under arrest and charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
