We've completed building the timber net structure at the inbound tunnel entrance near Williamstown Road on the West Gate Freeway.
Hundreds of separate timber pieces have been carefully fitted together to create the impressive 20 metre tall and 15-metre-wide structure.
Similar timber net designs are also featured at the outbound tunnel exit in the West Gate Freeway near Millers Road, and the tunnel entry and exit near the Maribyrnong River in Yarraville, reflecting Melbourneās maritime history.
