KVC always has a shield.
Even if it isn't his weapon, exactly, it is one of his favorite items.
The actual weapon he uses is a bo staff, although his is heavily modified, to the point that it's more like a multitool.
The shield takes many shapes, and the circle is not the most common.
The most common is a kind of tall diamond shape that cuts back inward.
Like an M on top of a V.
Except the M is pretty short.
It's like cat ears.
It's his shield symbol.
