Gudrun Johnston is a Shetland-born knitwear designer currently based in Massachusetts. She is known for accessible modern-day patterns that are inspired by her Shetland heritage and family history. She frequently returns to Shetland where she loves spending time with her family in the Westside. In addition to Grand Shetland Adventure Knits she is the author of four other knitting books: The Shetland Trader Books: One, Two and Three, and Knit With Me. She frequently teaches at knitting events across America and abroad. She is also the Brand Director for Simply Shetland, the North American distributor of Jamieson’s of Shetland yarn.
