Three words describe Nicola Brown’s textile practice: simple, natural, crafted.
Specializing in eco printing and wet felting, Nicola is passionate about helping others work in a more environmentally mindful way—guiding them from feeling overwhelmed or frustrated to feeling confident, empowered, and creatively fulfilled.
Since beginning her eco printing journey, she has planted over 13,500 trees on her property in rural Co,. Carlow and established extensive natural dye borders. These not only supply her studio with a rich variety of vegetation but also support a thriving ecosystem of butterflies, insects, birds and mammals—reflecting the wider ecological impact of her practice.
Nicola’s work draws directly from the landscape she nurtures. Each piece embodies her commitment to sustainability, thoughtful craftsmanship and the quiet beauty of working in harmony with nature.
