Today is the day the floor of our shipping container home goes in! We use a non-toxic insulation called hemp wool which is really similar to the insulation that we used in our van build. Lou is constantly doing research on how he can design a build that has the least amount of toxic materials, and I'm so grateful that he's doing everything in his power to make a safe living space for our family.
The real excitement for me though is the fact that I actually got to join in on the construction! It might seem like a small moment - cutting up installation for an hour and carrying some plywood around, but it felt so special for me. The perfect combination of family time, fresh air, and some mindless labor :)
