Heath Carmody | Shelter Bay Observation #2 (Two Camera Time Lapse Audiolizer) @heathcarmody2867 | Uploaded March 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
March 18th, 2022. Second observation at the same location as my last video. Low camera set up at about 4 feet above water. High camera 15-17 meters up on the bank. Looking across about 18.5 km distance to a rocky point. For very rough reference, the snow/tree line is about 12-14 meters above the lake when the water is this low. I'll do a better estimate in the next video. Basically any snow showing from the low camera should be geometrically hidden on a globe, and should be geometrically visible on a flat plane.
This was a warmer day than my first observation, although still cool for the first few hours and towards the end. Temperature readings showed a moderate inversion from near the water to the high camera location. I also had an even stronger inversion the next day. Details in a future video.
5 or so hours of observing but I had to cut up the footage since I panned around so much. There was a light breeze, stronger higher up. It made for some annoying tripod movement, but it's not my worst footage by far.
