This documentary film goes behind the scene, following Sharon Minemoto as she records her album, Goodbye, Strawberry Hill (Cellar Music). The music explores her family’s history, revisiting the dislocation of internment during World War II. Sharon reveals a stoicism, and quiet determination that has carried her through her own personal tragedies.
With the support of the Japanese Canadian Legacies Society, Sharon composed nine works for her quartet, each speaking to a thread of her family's history.
Recorded at Monarch Studios in October 2025 for release on the Cellar Music record label in 2026.
