Al McLean is joined by frequent Jazz, Period. collaborator Kevin Dean on this fine up tempo Bop original written by Dean. The mood at Diese Onze Jazz Club is certainly heady, as the band launches into a sizzling take.

Both McLean and Dean are playing on instruments that are not their usual horns; McLean is playing a rare 1954 Selmer Super Balanced Action tenor saxophone, and Dean on an equally rare Olds Super Recording trumpet from 1946.

Kevin Dean is professor, and a founding faculty member of the Jazz Department at McGill University's Schulich School of Music (mcgill.ca/music/).
