Gov. Josh Shapiro says AI data centers — not Pennsylvania homeowners and businesses — must cover the infrastructure and electricity costs they create. And if an emergency pushes demand beyond what the grid can supply, Shapiro says data centers will be disconnected first, “not grandma or grandpa in their homes.”
