- "ground attack" strategy:

this completes the attack strategy. attacking vital points is not always the best or even a good idea. sensitive points are typically guarded, which makes attacking them have lower chances and the risk of facing opponent's counters. attacking the less sensitive points, the lower body, while being safer, may be more beneficial:

tactic 13 - 'low-level attacks':
"plum substitutes withered peach (李代桃僵)" – when you fail to penetrate opponent's guard, switch to less sensitive targets, like his guarding limbs, fingers, back hands, and his lower body. lower body, though not as sensitive as upper body, is not as closely guarded and is an easier target; attacking it unbalances the opponent.

tactic 14 - 'high/low-level combo attacks':
"blossoms open on trees (树上开花)" – tactics succeed on proper backgrounds. completely switching to low-height attacks causes the opponent to lower guard to neutralize it. combine tactics. mix moves that aim opponent's upper body and those that target his lower body, simultaneously or sequentially.

tactic 15 - 'low-level fighting':
"steal beams to trade pillars (偷梁换柱)" – it is opening the lower-body guard. performing an effective attack on a leg may not be straight-forward, as the other leg or limbs may be supporting. therefore, try to isolate the opponent's pivot leg by removing the other limbs before attacking it. for example, before sweeping opponent's leg, let him raise or you take one of his feet off ground.

tactic 16 - 'high-level ground attacks':
"revive the dead (借尸还魂)" – it may be hard to reach opponent's sensitive points in upright position, but not from a lower hight. for example, while ground fighting, opponent's head, upper body, and groins are hovering around freely.

these involve simultaneous or consequent combinations of multiple high and low moves by upper and lower limbs. in this style, every move and sequence is a combo of high and low moves, teaching you how to aim multiple targets in any kind of situation.

after you learn this style, you see that in the previous styles the moves were simply single-targeted.
