FS70 Setup and Scanning
In this video, we’ll walk you through the process of scanning your slides and negatives.
If you are scanning a large number of images, we recommend using an SD card for storage. The FS70 supports SD cards up to 128GB.
First, you need to connect your scanner to a power source using the included USB cable.
You can connect it to a USB port on a computer, or to a 5 Volt 1 Amp USB wall adapter.
Press and hold the power button on the scanner to turn it on.
When the scanner is powered on, you see Film Type. Press okay and you will be given the choice of which type of film you want to scan. Select between slides, negatives, and Black and White film, then select the size of the image on the film.
Insert your film or slides into the film or slide adapter. 110, 8mm, and Super 8 require an insert to feed in the adapter.
If the image preview looks like a negative, the colors are inverted or black and white, you may need to change the film type between Negative and Slides.
If there is dust or debris showing in the preview, remove the film and use the included cleaning brush to clean the scanner and film.
Before you scan, you can change the orientation of the image by pressing the arrow buttons to flip or mirror the image.
EV or Brightness ,and color can also be adjusted by pressing the OK button before scanning. Use the left and right arrows to move between the settings, press OK to select a setting to adjust. Use the arrow buttons to adjust the setting and press OK to confirm the changes. Press SCAN to exit the scan settings menu.
Press the Scan button to capture the image. It will now be saved to the internal memory or SD card.
To access the pictures on a computer, connect the USB cable to a USB port on a computer, turn the scanner on, and select USB Upload in the main menu.
The scanner will appear on the computer as a new storage device so you can move your pictures from the scanner to a folder on your computer.
