From 1970, Gordon (Matt Robinson) reads "Dandelion", written and illustrated by Don Freeman (1908-1978) in 1964. CLICK ON SHOW MORE FOR INFO AND LINKS!

After being invited to Jennifer Giraffe's tea-and-taffy party, "Come as you are!", Dandelion, a rather dandy lion, worries that he doesn't look good enough. Hilarity ensues as he primps and preens into a completely unrecognizable version of himself. Not a term you hear much anymore, in the early 20th century a dandy was a man that prided himself on being fashionable. Enjoy!
