Faral Sondoh grew up in the city terraces of Serenno, the son of a middle-class family with just enough standing to claim a connection — however distant — to nobility. He was a child during the Clone Wars, old enough to remember the banners and broadcasts, the sense that Serenno stood apart. That feeling never left him.
Though Faral considers himself a voice of the people, a patriot, and a star, his fame rarely travels far from home. Still, he performs with conviction and polish, always dressed for a grander stage. His signature track, Serenno Now and Forever, is an unapologetic tribute to the planet he loves. The lyrics speak of loyalty, memory, and devotion — not just to the land, but to its spirit, its traditions, its name.
The original version was rewritten in Huttese for wider distribution, but Faral, who doesn’t speak a word of it, insisted on singing it himself. He refused to hand off what he considered too personal to delegate, eventually making his way through the song’s syllables with all the determination he could muster. Over the years, the track has been re-released in multiple arrangements, often accompanied by traditional Serenno instruments — but its heart remains unchanged.
To Faral, it’s an anthem. To most Serennians, it’s a well-meaning bit of cultural nostalgia. Either way, he’s still performing it, still holding the final note just a little longer than necessary — as if the galaxy might finally catch on.
