Selkies, or "seal folk", are half-seal, half-human creatures found in Celtic folklore. They can shed their seal skin and take on human form (often when falling in love with - or being taken captive by - another human), but a selkie can never be satisfied on land; they will always return to the sea, in the end.

Hope you enjoy this piece! Inspiration drawn from Ravel's Ondine, my own "Sea Lullaby", and the lovely Tomm Moore animated film, "Song of the Sea."
