I volunteered to help out during the annual Trick or Treat steam event at the Colorado Railroad Museum this year. It was a real treat for me, I can tell you. I did manage to "sit out" one trip on Sunday to shoot some video. Each "trip" is three tiems around the loop and takes about 20 minutes. During my "sit out" trip I made one trip around the loop on foot and managed to shoot from five different locations. Needless to say, I didn't do much sitting out. The whistle used this weekend is from a D&RG 3600 series 2-8-8-2, so I was told. It was kinda tricky to blow as it was designed to work at 200psi, but the 346 is set for 160psi. It was still neat to hear, though.
