Continuing the account of our 30 day Britrail adventure in the UK in 2019. On the 9th day, June 22, we left Caernarfon, in Wales, at 10 AM with Bristol as our final destination. This would involve riding the 2' gauge steam-powered Welsh Highland Railway and the Ffestiniog Railway, a regional bus, and four different trains operated by Transport for Wales and Cross Country (it would have been five trains instead of the bus if mother nature hadn't intervened). This required 14 hours to cover approximately 400 miles, and involved six train changes, some to close for comfort. An unforgettable day!
