July 4th weekend 1968, my mother, sister, brother, sister-in-law and I loaded into the family VW and headed east from Columbus to ride trains. We left after work on Wednesday, and by the time we got home Sunday evening we had done the East Broad Top, Strasburg, a Rail Tours excursion on the Ma & Pa, NH&I, BR&W, and Pine Creek.
