Autumn Colors scenic drive through Oak Creek Canyon in Coconino National Forest from Sedona, Arizona north to Flagstaff. We begin in the north end of Sedona and drive through 25 winding miles of beautiful fall foliage set against a backdrop of stunning red rock vistas as we make our way up to Flagstaff.

Driving Cottonwood Canyon Road to Kodachrome Basin 4K In this video, we’re leaving the pavement behind at U.S. Highway 89 and heading north on the legendary Cottonwood Canyon Road in southern Utah. This 40+ mile dirt track cuts straight through the heart of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, traversing the dramatic Cockscomb fold and some of the most surreal, alien-like landscapes in the American Southwest. The drive is a masterclass in desert geology—from towering white monoliths and deep red canyons to the jagged ridges that look like they belong on another planet. After navigating the rugged washboards and winding turns, we arrive at Kodachrome Basin State Park just as the golden hour light begins to set the sandstone chimneys and spires aglow. Whether you’re planning your own Utah adventure or just looking for a peaceful, immersive escape into the desert solitude, sit back and enjoy this other-worldly ride. This drive was filmed in April, and the vibrant spring vegetation adds a nice contrast to the Mars-like landscapes. The condition of the road was overall good, but there were some washboarded sections that were quite harsh. We recommend a vehicle with decent ground clearance, and this definitely isnt a road to try after a recent rain, even with 4 wheel drive. The trip kicks off on I-10 westbound in Tucson, and as we continue on into the desert we pass the iconic silhouette of Picacho Peak before we transition to I-8 in Pinal County. From there, we drive Interstate 8 end-to-end as we head west across the vast Sonoran Desert toward Yuma, eventually crossing into California to witness the massive Imperial Sand Dunes. We stop here for an aerial perspective of the wind-sculpted sands before continuing our climb into the Cuyamaca Mountains. As we reach the higher elevations, the desert sun gives way to a sudden rain storm which turned into a Southern California snow storm. After navigating the mountain passes it continues to rain as we descend into San Diego where the sun comes out once again and we finish our trip at the Pacific Ocean. The video concludes with aerial views of the beaches and the city skyline as the sun dips toward the water. The route begins in the high desert of Eastern Washington, where golden grasses and rolling hills dominate the landscape. As we travel westward, we get some stunning views of the Columbia River its massive canyon, and soak in the unique geology of the area. Approaching the Cascade Mountains, the terrain transforms dramatically with the high desert scenery giving way to lush forests and towering peaks and scenic mountain lakes. Approaching Seattle, the landscape changes once again into an urban sprawl, and one of our favorite city skylines. We take a drive around the Emerald City and stop at the Space Needle before concluding an exciting road trip. We begin at the north end of the scenic byway at I-70 and head south, where the canyon views change to snowy mountain vistas and partially frozen mountain lakes as we climb to over 10,000 feet in elevation.
