The Konwakai Chair in Japanese Research, in partnership with the Centre for the Study ofDemocratic Institutions, and with support from the Centre for Korean Research, is organizing aseries of panel events on the theme of digital transformations, titled: “Global Conversations AboutDigital Disruptions”. The third panel in the series will take place in February 2023, with the followingobjectives:
1. To understand the value and limitations of, using a security lens for the current state of globaldigital competition;
2. To discuss whether, and how, components of the digital space interact with the effects of digitalcompetition; and
3. To understand the effects of securitized digital spaces on democracies and democratic institutions.
