The 2024 Myanmar Emerging Scholars and Young Leaders Workshop was held from May 15–17, 2024, at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada, organized by UBC’s Myanmar Initiative.

This annual flagship program brings together emerging scholars and young leaders from Myanmar, of Myanmar origin, or those working on Myanmar-related issues. The goal is to strengthen professional networks, foster collaboration, and contribute meaningfully to Myanmar’s democratic future through academic and civic engagement.
